Wanderers’ U13 Girls Superb at Stormfront!

Orangeville’s Stormfront Tourney has proven a successful stomping ground for Wanderers’ teams and the U13 Girls Competitive squad is no exception!

Coach Pedro Gonzalez’s team opened the tournament with a solid 2-0 win over the Vaughan Vixens before completely dominating Newmarket 6-0.  Game three against hosts Orangeville saw a repeat performance by the Wanderers, who cruised to another 6-0 win.  Lake Simcoe was the next to team to fall but only by a score of 1-0.  The lone goal was just the ticket to the final where the Bolton’s U13 girls would meet Lake Simcoe in a rematch.    The championship game opened with flurry of Wanderers shots at the Lake Simcoe goal.  Continuing to play with determination, Bolton’s girls kept their eyes on the prize and weren’t to be denied pounding 11 goals past the opposition to capture gold!    Congratulations go out to all the U13 Girls who displayed skill on the pitch and great camaraderie off!   These talented Wanderers are now looking forward to representing Bolton and Canada in the largest youth soccer tournament in the Western Hemisphere in Blaine, Minnesota – Schwann’s USA Cup.  Over a thousand teams from 25 countries will be participating in this extraordinary soccer event in mid-July.
