Press Release: Bolton Wanderers Soccer Club Look to Align Development Programme with BWFC

 CALEDON, Feb. 2, 2010 - Bolton Wanderers Soccer Club (BWSC) is pleased to welcome David Bailey, Manager of the Bolton Wanderers Football Club (BWFC) International Academy for a week long visit to review BWSC’s player development programme.

Mr. Bailey’s visit is the culmination of a BWSC initiative to strengthen ties with the English Premier League club.  Late last year, selected BWSC executive journeyed to Bolton, England to engage in discussions on further fostering player and coaching development in Canada by adopting BWFC’s coaching philosophy and soccer training methods.

Mr. Bailey will be in attendance at the Bolton Wanderers Soccer Club Indoor Academy evenings this week at the Brampton Fairgrounds (1294 Heart Lake Road) to assess the current programme, how best to motivate both BWSC coaches and players as well as provide additional insight on what it takes to progress to the professional ranks.

Mr. Bailey will also make a special presentation to BWSC executive and members of an autographed Bolton Wanderers Football Club team jersey commemorating the visit and acknowledging the new relationship forged between the two clubs Thursday, February 4 at 8:30 pm at Crabby Joe’s Tap & Grill, 12596 Highway 50 in Bolton.
